5-day train trip from Mongolia to Moscow

5-day train trip

1st day
It did not start off the right foot. - Miscommunication or rip-off, the cab fare from the hotel to the train station was 32,000 tugrug, about SGD 45. And our main problem was we did not have sufficient Mongolia currency. So we had to beg the cab driver to accept other currencies and in the end, he took our yuan.

As for the train, sigh... No attached toilet. Can totally forget about showering in the train.

Language barrier so can't communicate with the Mongolians in the train. Our requests were being ignored.

2nd day
We were like literate pigs: eat, read, sleep, eat, read, sleep.......

3rd day
What a time to fall sick. Probably due to boredom. Feeling headache and nausea and the train motion made it worse. Finally, puke in the toilet. It was fast and easy as the condition of the toilet facilitated the whole process.

4th day
I recovered from my illness and it was her turn to fall sick. Also, we were sick and bored of the train ride - WE DESPERATELY NEED A BREAKOUT. So, went to help our Mongolian mates to sell handbags and clothes - perhaps this could be our next biz venture. It was very easy, simply shout 'sumki sumki' or 'loughki, loughki' which meant handbags and clothes respectively, and a crowd will gather. Alas, I found out that I am not cut out to do sales :(

Much joy and liveliness was brought to our cabin when we got to know Bujee - the smart 13-year-old girl with very high EQ. Also there were more interaction with other Mongolians as many of them were keen to find out where we are from. Apparently, they all have been talking about us. Typically, they guessed that we were Koreans, Taiwanese and even Vietnamese. They probably think I am a Viet-Cong due to my short hair.

Last day
Supposed to be a day of relief. It became a sad one as we had to leave our Mongolia friends. It was a surprise that the part of the journey I dreaded most turned to be so rewarding.
